Professional Aesthetic Education for Healthcare Professionals

Know Your Scope

Aesthetic practice requirements vary significantly by:

  • Profession and license type
  • State and jurisdiction
  • Specific procedure or device
  • Prescriptive authority requirements
  • Supervision or collaboration requirements
  • Practice setting
  • Employer and facility policy
  • Facility credentialing requirements
Enrollment in or completion of a GAM program does not override these requirements. Students are responsible for understanding and complying with all applicable laws, regulations, scope-of-practice standards, employer policies, and facility requirements.

Education Is Not Licensure

A GAM Certificate of Completion documents completion of the applicable educational program. It does not constitute:

  • State licensure or professional registration
  • Specialty board certification
  • Prescriptive authority or independent practice authorization
  • Facility credentialing or procedure authorization

Hands-On Credential Review

Professional credentials may be reviewed before participation in applicable clinical training. GAM may request additional information when needed to determine training eligibility.
